EXTERNAL CREDENTIALS

The Monash Health PoCUS program provides internal MH credentialing specific to the programs and scope of practise defined for each collaborating department.

These standards comply with external guidelines/policies/standards where they exist for various professional bodies, except where the scope of practise has not been endorsed for use at Monash Health.

Physicians wishing to obtain concurrent external credentials can be supported where this complies with Monash Health PoCUS program policy, scope of practise and has the endorsement of relevent MH PoCUS Governance Groups/DEMTs/SOTs and necessary training resources.

Please note Monash Health PoCUS training is only available to Consultants, Fellows, Registrars & Critical Care HMO3 in collaborating departments. Junior doctors not involved in specialist training with an established PoCUS program teaching should not embark on external credentialing, as the necessary workplace training cannot be supported. Please refer to MH policies and accreditation documents under department tabs above.
